There are many, many different pieces of gear that you need to learn before climbing and there's also many different techniques that are easily learned from professionals. When you take a course you're able to absorb a lot of knowledge in a very short amount of time, there's a lot of different places around that offer climbing courses. Even some of the best climbers if they're climbing with somebody a little bit better with them they can absorb a little bit of that knowledge, so taking courses is very important and just learning a lot of different safety techniques. It's also good when you climb with somebody who is a professional that you know that you're going to be in a safe environment and it's going to take a little bit of the fear away so that you can actually learn to climb in a lot quicker fashion way, you're not scared of what's going to happen if you fall you know that there's a professional there ready to help you out."
